$1.2 million grant to add hybrid transit buses

Lake Erie Transits (Michigan) gets a $1.2 million dollar federal grant to add hybrid transit buses to its fleet. The bus transport agency will apply $700,000 to the hybrids, while the other $500K will be appllied to the garage and maintenance bay.

“The money is part of $28.55 million earmarked for 10 transportation-related projects in Michigans 15th Congressional District as part of a federal appropriations bill.” – Monroenews.com.

Ann Arbor and Detroit also received funds.
